Meet VSC

The
Viterbi Student Council (VSC) is comprised of the leadership from the Viterbi School's Student Organizations. Presidents and Vice-Presidents represent their respective honor societies, professional organizations and social engineering groups on the council to promote school wide activities, cross-disciplinary communication and student body advocacy. Lead by an Executive Board, VSC also consists of the Planning and Programming Comittee and the Funding Board.  This page introduces you to the Executive Board, all student organizations in VSC, the Planning and Programming Committee, and the Funding Board.

Viterbi Student Council: Funding Board

The VSC Funding Board will be made up of 5 undergraduate engineering students from different engineering disciplines and academic standings.  Responsibilities will include weekly funding meetings as well as planning meetings with the VSC and the Viterbi School to help build a proper student activity fee allocation system and set of policies.  One member of the Board will be appointed Funding Board Director/ Viterbi Student Council Treasurer.  He or she will  manage the board, as well as serve as an executive member of the Viterbi Student Council reporting finance activitiy of the board and student organizations, while also handling finances for the Student Council.

 Viterbi Student Council: Planning and Programming Committee (PPC)

The Viterbi Student Council Planning and Programming Committee (PPC) develops and implements events for undergraduate engineers at USC. These include professional, social and community service activities that help engineering students get involved outside the classroom and build an engineering community. In order to successfully do so, the PPC is responsible for getting feedback from student organizations and the undergraduate engineering student body.

The Planning and Programming Committee consists of five undergraduate engineers with various interests and diverse campus involvement. The VSC Vice Chair serves as the Committee’s Chair and is responsible for scheduling and overseeing PPC meetings. He/She also assures that the Committee produces quality programs and events for undergraduate engineers in coordination with Viterbi Student Council organizations.
